How long have you been in business?

Clubs of America was founded in 1994. Today we are the oldest and largest “Gift of the Month Club” provider in the U.S. with tens of thousands of loyal members nationwide. See our About Us page for more details.

Are there any memberships fees?

There are no upfront membership fees. Only a monthly product club price that includes free shipping every month.

Will I be obligated into a whole year as a member?

No. Unlike other clubs, we have as low as 2-month minimum membership options. You pick how many months you would like to join or give as a gift. You can join any of our clubs from 2 to 12 months. You may cancel at anytime.

When will I receive my monthly shipment ?

Shipments arrive the 3rd and 4th week of every month.

What is your Happiness Guarantee policy?

Can I go every-other-month or quarterly?

Yes. You may make the selection when ordering from this website or by phone to go every-other-month or every-third-month.

How do you ship your products?

We use a variety of common carriers depending on which club you choose and where you are located. Shipments arrive the 3rd and 4th week of each month. The shipments are packed with protective packaging with a perfect presentation of the product. Also included in the package is our monthly “Expeditions” newsletter for that particular club.

Can you ship to PO boxes, FPO or APO boxes?

Yes, but we only ship to PO, FPO and APO boxes for three of our clubs — Cigars, Coffee and Chocolate.

Do you feature craft beer in cans in addition to bottles?

Yes, we feature the finest craft beer in both cans and bottles, many are Award Winning beers every month. All in 12 ounce size.  Only featuring breweries in bottles would reduce our ability from featuring some of America’s top rated award winning craft beers that package in cans.  There are so many craft breweries nationwide packaging their beer in cans than ever before.   Cans have many advantages over bottles with beer, such as, being more eco-friendly, more portable, lighter and cans are allowed in many more places such as, beaches, poolside, lakes, parks, and many outdoor events.  Cans are also the ultimate protection for beer because they are both lightproof and airtight so cans it will keep your beer fresher longer and preserve flavors better.  Also, with today’s cans there are no metallic flavors because of a lining inside the can which completely protects the beer.

How should I store the beer?

We recommend refrigerating the beer once you receive it to preserve optimal freshness. If refrigerated, the shelf life is 8 to 12 months. If you do not refrigerate the beer, the shelf life is 4 to 6 months. Always store beer in a cool, dark place away from light.

What does “microbrewed” craft beer mean?

These are specialty beers with more flavor than the mass-produced alternative. They are made in very small quantities and only available in the local town where they are brewed. They are all-natural and contain no additives or preservatives.

Where do the beers come from?

All over the United States from small American craft breweries. Each batch we feature is freshly brewed for our members.

Can I choose the beer I receive?

No. All the beer is pre-selected for you by an expert tasting panel. Each beer is carefully judged and approved by our tasting panel. Once you are a member, you can reorder a list of past selections at discounted prices.

How is the beer shipped?

We deliver the beer through our network via common carriers. We prefer a daytime office address to ensure timely delivery. You must be 21 or older to receive a shipment of beer. An Adult signature over 21 is required. Delivery not available in some states and zip codes. You will be notified at checkout if we are unable to ship to your delivery address.

How is the beer packaged?

To prevent breakage we package the 12 pack of craft beer in special packaging to ensure safe, fresh deliveries. All our packaging is 100% recyclable.

What are some examples of the beer I may receive?

All beer is brewed fresh for our members by small American microbreweries in the U.S. Past selections include: Great Divide’s Denver Pale Ale, Local Color’s Smooth Talker Pilsner, Butte Creek’s Winter Ale, Snake River’s Lager, Pony Express’ 75th Street Brown Ale, Rock Creek’s Devil’s elbow India Pale Ale, Coast Range’s California Blonde Ale, Rockies’ Amber Ale, and many more.

What will I receive each month?

Each month you receive a 12-pack of four (4) different types of fresh microbrewed craft beer in 12-ounce bottles and cans. You will also receive our club newsletter “Beer Expeditions.” You will receive your shipment by the 3rd or 4th week of each month.

Wine

What temperature should wine be served at when I drink it?

White wines should be served cool to avoid a dull flavor. Red wine should be served warm to enhance the flavor. (If served cold, the scent and flavor is dull.) Your refrigerator temperature is around 35° F. We recommend white wine be served within the first 10 minutes out of the refrigerator. Red wine should be served much warmer (room temp. about 60-65° F.)

How do I store the wine?

Wine should be stored on its side in a cool, dark place. The temperature should be constant all year round (preferable under 60° F and humidity over 75%. Opened bottles of wine will only keep up to a week in the refrigerator.

Where do the wines come from?

They will come from around the world from countries such as: Australia, Chile, Argentina, Portugal, New Zealand, United States and Italy. (Many come from very small award-winning wineries.)

Can I get only red wines? or Can I get only white wines?

Yes. You can request All Red or All White or Mixed club selections when you order. There is no extra charge for this.

Can I choose the wine I receive?

No. All the wines are pre-selected for you. Each wine is carefully judged and approved by our tasting panel. You can reorder a list of past selections at discounted prices.

How is the wine shipped?

We deliver the wine through our network via common carriers. We prefer a daytime office address to ensure timely delivery. You must be 21 or older to receive a wine shipment. An adult signature over 21 is required. Delivery not available in some states and zip codes. You will be notified at checkout if we are unable to ship to your delivery address.

How is the wine packaged?

To prevent breakage we package the wine in special 100% recyclable pulp packaging.

What are some examples of the wine I may receive?

We focus on selections that are produced in small quantities and are hard to find. Examples include: Nantucket’s Sauvignon Blanc from the U.S., Maletti Lambrusco di Sorbara from Italy, Agulhas Bank Chardonnay from South Africa, River Falls Cabernet Sauvignon from Chile, First Run Shiraz from Australia and Casal Mendes Vinho Verde from Portugal.

How should I care for the flowers?

Each shipment has different instructions on how to care for them. The instructions are included in the Flower Expeditions newsletter.

Can I choose the flowers I receive?

No. All the flowers are pre-selected for you. Each flower bouquet is freshly cut direct from the grower and shipped.

How are the flowers shipped?

We deliver the flowers via FedEx. We prefer a delivery address where someone is home or a business delivery address.

How are the flowers packaged?

In a attractive box with the flowers fully secured for safe passage during transit.

What are some examples of the flowers I may receive?

Cigar

What is the shelf life of a cigar?

If stored as above they will last indefinitely. If not stored correctly, they will dry out and ultimately be ruined.

How should I store my cigars?

Optimal storage is at 70° F and at 70% humidity. They will keep up to 1 week in our ziplock shipping bag. We recommend that long term you store them inside a humidor box. If this is not available, enclose them in an airtight Tupperware container with a moistened sponge. Do not put them in the freezer.

Where do the cigars come from?

We feature cigars from the world’s top cigar-producing regions — countries such as Honduras, Jamaica, Canary Islands and the Dominican Republic.

Can I choose the cigars I receive?

No. All of the cigars are pre-selected for you. Each cigar is carefully judged and approved by our cigar tasting panel. You can order a variety of different cigars brands from our Cigar Expeditions newsletter at discounted prices.

How are the cigars shipped?

We deliver the cigars via U.S. Mail to ensure freshness. We prefer a daytime office address to ensure timely delivery. You must be 21 or older to receive a shipment of cigars.

How are the cigars packaged?

Each cigar is individually vacuum sealed by us to preserve optimal freshness during shipping. Then all 5 sealed cigars are placed in an air-tight ziplock bag. They are then packed into a box ready for shipping.

What are some examples of the cigars I may receive?

Fruit

How do I store the fruit? How long will it last? (see categories below)

Pears: Upon arrival, allow pears to ripen at room temperature. Pears ripen in about 4-6 days. Pears are ripe when they yield to gentle pressure and emit a pear fragrance. Once ripe, pears can be stored in the refrigerator for an extra 2-4 days. Rinse pears before eating.

Peaches, Nectarines & Plums: Upon arrival, allow fruit to ripen at room temperature. Fruit is ripe in about 2-4 days when yielding to gentle pressure and fragrant. Once ripe, fruit can be stored in the refrigerator for an extra 2-4 days. Rinse fruit before eating.

Pineapples: Pineapples should be ripened at room temperature. Ripening times will vary but, in general, a pineapple is ripe when it is yellow in appearance and the bottom of the core is soft to pressure. Once ripe, a pineapple can be stored in the refrigerator for 2-4 days. Rinse and cut before eating.

Mangos: Mangos should be ripened at room temperature. Once ripe, mangos should be consumed. Rinse and cut mango in half and remove pit (be careful, mangoes are slippery). Once pit is removed, score the mango and turn the mango half inside out to cut away the scored mango chunks.

Papayas: Papayas should be ripened at room temperature. Once ripe, they should be consumed. Rinse and scoop out seed and either eat a papaya half or peel and slice.

Kiwi: Kiwi should be ripened at room temperature. Once ripe, kiwi can be stored in the refrigerator for 2-4 days. Kiwis are ripe when yielding to gentle pressure. Cut kiwi in half and scoop out fruit or peel kiwi and slice.

Oranges: Oranges are ready to eat and do not need further ripening. Upon arrival, place oranges in the refrigerator. Oranges can be refrigerated for 5-7 days. Rinse and peel before eating.

Grapefruit: Grapefruit are ready to eat and do not need further ripening. Upon arrival, place grapefruit in the refrigerator to store and eat within 5-7 days. Rinse and cut or peel before eating.

Tangerines, Tangelos, Clementines & Mandarins: Specialty citrus is ready to eat upon arrival or can be stored in the refrigerator for 5-7 days. Rinse and peel before consumption.

Apples: Store apples in the refrigerator upon arrival. Apples should be consumed with in 7-10 days upon arrival. Rinse apples before eating. Apples can be eaten whole or peeled and sliced.

Cherries: Store cherries in refrigerator upon arrival. Rinse cherries before eating. Cherries are very perishable and should be eaten within 1-3 days of arrival.

Can I choose the fruit I receive?

No. All of the fruit is pre-selected, fresh for you.

How is the fruit shipped?

All fruit is shipped direct from the grower farm via FedEx to bring you the freshest handpicked fruit direct to your door.  Shipping grower direct to the customer results in an optimal fresher fruit than what’s available in stores, which goes thru multiple distributors.

What are some examples of the fruits I may receive?

Examples are: Comice Pears & Honey Tangerines; Bing Cherries & Taylor’s Gold Pears; Royal Pineapple & Tropical Kiwi.

What will I receive each month?

You will receive 2 different selections of fresh fruit each month. Approximately 5 pounds of total weight with 7 to 13 total pieces depending on the feature. You will also receive our informative monthly club newsletter “Fruit Expeditions.” Shipments arrive by the 3rd or 4th week of each month.

Coffee

How do I make the coffee?

Water represents 98% of every cup, therefore we recommend you use cold bottled or filtered water. Do not use distilled or softened water as it impairs the flavor. Use 2 tablespoons of ground for each 6-ounce cup of coffee. (Using too few grounds can actually make it taste bitter! Never boil coffee as this adds bitterness! Do not reuse coffee grounds once they have been brewed.) To serve: Drink the coffee within 20 minutes of brewing for the best flavor and aroma. Letting it sit over 20 minutes impairs the flavor.

How should I store the coffee?

Keep your coffee in the airtight bag it comes in. Keep it in a cool, dark place, preferably your freezer. Whole bean retains its flavor longer than ground, since less surface area is exposed to air.

Will the coffee I receive be flavored?

Yes, from time to time there will be flavored coffee in your shipment (one of the two bags).

Where will the coffee come from?

We feature coffee from around the world from countries such as Kenya, Nicaragua, Zimbabwe and Ethiopia.

Can I get one ground and one whole-bean package per month?

No. It would need to be all one type in the same shipment.

Can I choose the coffee I receive each month?

Can I get decaffeinated coffee monthly?

No. Our monthly selections feature only caffeinated coffee.

How is the coffee packaged?

Each coffee type packed is in an attractive vacuum sealed ziplock pouch to preserve freshness. They are then packed into a box with protective packaging materials for shipping.

How should I store the chocolate?

Try to keep them in a cool, dry place. Do not expose to extreme heat or humidity.

Is this good chocolate?

Yes. All of the chocolates we feature are made with the finest, freshest, all-natural ingredients. These are high-quality, hand-dipped chocolates that are made fresh for our members.

Can I choose the chocolates I receive?

Can chocolate be shipped in the warm months or to a warm location?

Yes. We will package the sealed chocolate box inside a Styrofoam container along with ice packs to ensure the heat won’t melt the chocolates.

How is the chocolate packaged?

The chocolates will be in an attractive colorful 1-pound box. The box will be sealed inside a ziplock pouch to ensure freshness. It is then packaged snugly into a shipping carton with protective packaging.
